M.S. Organizational Leadership

CSU-Global’s accredited online master’s degree in organizational leadership is designed to provide you with a practical knowledge of the field. The program consists of 8 three-credit core courses as part of a full 36-credit master’s degree. (Some M.S. in Organizational Leadership students may be required to take RES500 as part of their program if they do not have previous experience in accounting, finance, or business statistics. In this case, the degree program is 39 credits.) There are two tracks, a practitioner track and a research track, which are composed of 8 three-credit major courses.

Note: This order of courses is based on the Spring 2017 catalog.  If you started this program prior to the Spring 2017 trimester, you may have a different list of required classes.  Please refer to a previous academic catalog to view your required courses. 

Practitioner Track:

  • RES501* - Fundamentals of Research and Writing *(Not required for all students)
  • ORG502 - Effective Organizations - Theory and Practice
  • ORG530 - Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility
  • ORG555 - Leading Diverse Teams
  • ORG561 - Examination of Modern Leadership
  • ORG525 - Decision Theory in a Global Marketplace (Recommended  prior course: ORG561)
  • ORG536 - Contemporary Business Writing and Communication (Note: Students cannot receive credit for both ORG536 and MGT535)
  • 12 Specialization Credits
  • ORG576 - Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methods
  • ORG579 - Capstone - Organizational Leadership  (Prerequisite: All core and specialization courses)
