Scholarship's impact on Cost of Attendance
When you receive a scholarship, your Cost of Attendance will be reduced by the amount of the scholarship received in that award year, dollar for dollar. For example, if you receive a scholarship for $1,000, your Cost of Attendance will be reduced by $1,000. This will, essentially, reduce the amount of additional funding you are allowed to receive since a student cannot receive more aid than their cost of attendance.
