A Specialization is a well-defined area of study that you can select based on your interests and/or career goals. The Specialization will appear on your transcript with your degree and major and can be used when marketing yourself on future resumes.
At CSU-Global MOST graduate students are required to choose a specialization to take along with their major courses. Each graduate specialization is comprised of four courses. Visit the Graduate Specializations article to find more specific information about your program and to see available specializations.
While not required, undergraduate students might also benefit from adding a specialization. Each specialization is made up of five courses and credits from undergraduate specializations replace 15 required elective credits. You can find a list of undergraduate specializations at https://csuglobal.edu/undergraduate/programs/specializations.
Specialization availability is based on the catalog in effect during the time of your enrollment. Be sure to contact your Student Advisor to discuss these options or to officially add a specialization.
