Why didn't my English credits transfer?

There are a variety of reasons English course credits may not be applied towards your degree:

  1. The previous English credit was completed more than 10 years ago
  2. The previous English credit was remidial, developmental, or preparatory (i.e. not true college-level)

In these cases, your English credits will not transfer in to fulfill your communications general education requirement, though it may still transfer in as elective credit.  Please see the Transfer Credit Policies listed in Academic Catalog for additional information. Be sure to reach out to your student advisor if you have any questions about your transfer credits.
