Do I have to include my parents' information on my FAFSA?

If you are a considered to be a dependent student, you must include your parents’ information on your FAFSA application. Generally, students under the age of 24 are considered dependent unless they have one of the following exceptions: are married, are on active duty military service or a veteran, have children or other dependents they support more than 50%, have deceased parents, are an emancipated minor or are homeless or at risk of being homeless.

If the FAFSA application determines you are an "independent" student, you are not required to provide any parent information.
