If you were selected for Verification, there is a possibility that you will also be asked to submit tax documents. If you were a victim of IRS Tax-Related Identity Theft, the documents that you need to submit differ from those required from other students. Please see the list of required documents below and be sure to contact your Student Advisor with additional questions.
Required Tax Documents for Victims of IRS Tax-Related Identity Theft:
- A copy of your tax return transcript from the IRS
- If you are unable to obtain a tax return transcript because of the identity theft, please obtain a Tax Return DataBase View (TRDBV) transcript instead. To obtain the TRDBV, please call the IRS's Identity Protection Specialized Unit (IPSU) at 1-800-908-4490. After the IPSU authenticates your identity, you can request to have the TRDBV mailed, which can take up to 10 business days to receive

Other Required Documents for Victims of IRS Tax-Related Identity Theft:
- A signed and dated student statement stating you were the victim of IRS Tax-Related Identity Theft and that the IRS has been made aware of the Identity Theft
