The Student Portal is going to be your primary access point for everything you will need at CSU Global. You can access the student portal at: portal.csuglobal.edu. You will be able to see your courses, degree progress, finance information, library and tutoring resources, and so much more.
Take some time to familiarize yourself with all of the items listed in the menu on the left hand side. A few things to highlight here are your Success Counselor and Student Finance Advisors contact information and scheduling link, the CSU Global Library, Writing Center and Online Tutoring, as well as our Career Center and Student Help Center, and the link for your 24/7 tech support. If you run into any issues accessing your courses or portal, you can always reach someone to help you troubleshoot the issues through this tech support link.
Your Class Schedule is displayed at the top of the page and you can see both current and scheduled courses here. If you click on the hyperlinked course name it will take you right into your course, which is hosted in our Learning Management System, Canvas. Below your class schedule are links to see any alerts you may have, My Account and Financial Aid, My Documents and Calendar and Course Registration.
We will help with getting you registered for your first term classes and once any holds you have on your account are lifted you will be able to click on the “Course Registration” button and add classes for yourself for future terms. If you have any questions about your schedule and what to register for, don’t hesitate to reach out to your Student Success Counselor. We are here to help you put together a plan to complete your program.
When you click on “My Account and Financial Aid” you will be able to see your account balance, pay your tuition, download student invoices, as well as access any Financial Aid documents required.
The My Documents section is where you will find any forms that are required to complete. You can complete and submit the forms directly through this section.
The Calendar section is a quick access link to download our most up to date Academic Calendars. CSU Global has two different registration tracks that correspond with our university colors, Burgundy and Gold. When you click on your name at the top of the home page, you will see your track listed as well as your Student ID number.
At the bottom of the home page of your student portal you will see additional links you will need as a student including your degree progress details, the booklist, Academic Catalog and other helpful resources. Be sure to check the booklist before the start of each term in case there are any course materials that need to be ordered ahead of time. The majority of the courses at CSU Global will have digital materials provided through the course page in Canvas.
You will want to famiiarize yourself with the “Degree Progress Details” page. Here you will see a summary of your credit totals, a list of your future required courses, and a link to our Degree Progress Auditing system, called uAchieve.
We recommend downloading the Academic Catalog and saving it to your computer for future reference. It is a comprehensive guide to all things at CSU Global and will be a helpful resource to find your major requirements, suggested order of completion for your courses, and resources and policies to be aware of throughout your time here.
