GAC Accreditation

The Project Management Institute Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (aka GAC) is an independent academic accreditation body for project, program, and portfolio management and related programs. GAC accreditation ensues the quality of academic degree programs and their graduates to meet the standards of the rapidly growing field of project management.

Degree programs that achieve GAC accreditation must demonstrate and meet the GAC’s rigorous global standards of accreditation, which include an assessment of each program’s objectives and outcomes, faculty and student evaluations, onsite and online resources, annual self-evaluation, and proof of continuous improvements in the area of project management education.

The GAC Accredited Program seal is a mark of Project Management Institute, Inc.

CSU Global’s Bachelor of Science in Project Management and Master of Project Management degrees were accredited by Project Management Institute Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC). For further information about the Project Management Institute, visit their website.

GAC accreditation ensures the quality of academic degree programs and their graduates in order to meet the standards of the rapidly growing field of project management.

CSU Global’s project management curriculum is reviewed and revised every 18 to 24 months to ensure that it meets the needs of today’s learners and remains fully aligned with PMI’s leading project management standards including the PMBOK® Guide.

How does GAC Accreditation benefit you?

Accreditation has two fundamental purposes: to assure the quality, and to assist in the continual improvement of an institution or program. Accreditation, which applies to institutions or programs, is to be distinguished from certification and licensure, which apply to individuals.

GAC conducts specialized, programmatic accreditation of academic programs within an institution of higher education. As a programmatic accrediting body, GAC assures the quality of project management and related degree programs at the bachelor’s, post graduate, and doctoral levels.

There are several valuable benefits of GAC accreditation for programs and their institutions:

  • Confirmation of a program’s commitment to educational quality and continuous improvement
  • Peer recognition and achievement of quality benchmarks
  • Differentiation as one of a select group of programs that embraces and promotes the discipline of project, program and portfolio management
