What happens if I don't meet Provisional requirements?

Provisional Requirements for Undergraduate Students 

To be eligible for full admission, provisionally admitted undergraduate students are required to:

  • Complete coursework in two consecutive trimesters
  • Complete six (6) credit hours in each of the first and second trimesters
  • Earn and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher in at the end of each trimester
  • Earn an institutional course completion rate of 66.66% or higher in each trimester

Provisional reviews will run at the end of your first trimester. If you are not meeting the standards above, you will be withdrawn. Provisional reviews will run again at the end of your second trimester, and if you are not meeting the standards above, you will be withdrawn. 

This means that you have to meet the standards listed above in BOTH your first AND second trimesters in order to be fully admitted. 

Provisional Requirements for Graduate Students 

  • To be eligible for full admission, provisionally admitted graduate students are required to:
    • Complete coursework in two consecutive trimesters
    • Complete three (3) credit hours in each of the first and second trimesters
    • Earn and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher in at the end of each trimester
    • Earn an institutional course completion rate of 66.66% or higher in each trimester

Provisional reviews will run at the end of your first trimester. If you are not meeting the standards above, you will be withdrawn. Provisional reviews will run again at the end of your second trimester, and if you are not meeting the standards above, you will be withdrawn. 

This means that you have to meet the standards listed above in BOTH your first AND second trimesters in order to be fully admitted. 

If you do not meet provisional requirements and you are withdrawn from the university you will need to wait 6 months before you are eligible to apply for re-admission.
