What is ACHE?

ACHE stands for American College of Healthcare Executives.  According to ACHE, they are an international professional society of 40,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems, and other healthcare organizations.  According to their website, ACHE's mission is to “advance its members and healthcare management excellence.”  

ACHE also offers its respected Fellow of ACHE (FACHE) credential, which signifies board certification in healthcare management.

ACHE has a large number of chapters across the country and has a variety of resources available to its members including its yearly Congress on Healthcare Leadership event, ongoing research, and its magazine, Healthcare Executive.  ACHE is also known for having one of the largest publishers of Healthcare Administration books and journals, also printing textbooks for college and university courses.
