What is CAPM?

CAPM is a professional certification associated with the Project Management Institute (PMI) -  it is an acronym for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®.  This certification is an entry-level certification for project management practitioners and is intended to demonstrate the individual's understanding of the terminology, knowledge, and processes of effective project management.

The Project Management Degree, Specialization, and Certificate through CSU-Global cover the skills and knowledge needed to prepare students for the CAPM exam.

The CAPM exam requires:

  1. A secondary degree (high school diploma or GED) AND
  2. At least 1,500 hours of project experience OR 23 hours of project management education by the time you sit for the exam.
