Applying for Financial Aid

Qualifying for Federal Financial Aid:

In order to qualify for Federal Financial Aid (federal loans and grants), a student must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a valid FAFSA on file (www.studentaid.gov/apply-for-aid/fafsa)
  • Be enrolled in a degree program or eligible certificate program (mon-degree seeking students are not eligible)
  • Be a U.S citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • In good academic standing and making good academic progress
  • Enrolled at least half time (6 credits per trimester for undergraduates, 3 credits per trimester for graduate students)
  • Not be in default on prior student loans

Applying & Accepting Financial Aid:

  1.  Submit a FAFSA application at https://studentaid.gov/ with our school code: 042087
  2. Submit any CSU Global required documentation to verify eligibility through your Student Portal
  3. Accept the desired Federal Direct Loans awards from this page in the Student Portal. If you're offered the Pell Grant, it will be automatically accepted.
  4.  Complete the Direct Loan Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling at https://studentaid.gov
