The CSU Global Student Portal will show a student their estimated disbursement date. This is the date that your disbursement is expected to post to your student account, as long as you meet all of the eligibility requirements to receive a disbursement. If you are eligible for a stipend (excess financial aid), it will be processed no more than 14 days from the date the credit is posted to your account.
Financial aid disbursements post after the drop deadline for each term once attendance and halftime enrollment have been verified.
- For undergraduate students, half-time is defined as six (6) credit hours for the trimester. If you choose to take only 3 credit hours per term, you will not receive your federal loan disbursement until the final term of the trimester. Credit hours from a prior term only count toward enrollment status when the course was successfully completed with a grade of A-D.
- For graduate students, half-time is defined as three (3) credits for the trimester.
- Federal regulation requires that students have participate within 7 days of the disbursement day to receive their funding. Please make sure you have posted attendance in your classroom in the form of a discussion post and/or critical thinking assignment within 7 days of the disbursement day. Failure to do so may result in a delayed disbursement.
