How do I calculate my Grade in this class?
Most of the courses at CSU Global contain 1,000 possible points making the calculation of your grade very simple. All you need to do is add up your total points earned and divide by 1,000.
For example, if you earned a total of 875 points in your course, your grade is an 87.5%, or a B+ (875 / 1000 = .875 or 87.5%). Click here to see the CSU Global grading scale.
A running total of the points you've earned at any point in the class is tracked at the bottom of your Grades page.
This running total will allow you to estimate your final grade. In order to make that estimation, you'll first need to determine how many points your remaining assignments are worth.
For example, if you currently have 600 out of 1,000 points in the class, and you have one assignment left worth 350 points, you can estimate your final grade based on how well you do on that final assignment. If you earn all 350 points, then you will end the course with a 95%
Step 1: 600 + 350 = 950
Step 2: 950 / 1,000 = .95 or 95%
However, if you only earn 200 points on the final assignment, you will end the course with an 80%
Step 1: 600 + 200 = 800
Step 2: 800 / 1,000 = .80 or 80%
