There are a variety of reasons composition course credits may not be applied towards your degree. The previous composition credit may be remedial, developmental, or preparatory (i.e. not true college-level). You can check with your Success Counselor to see why your composition credits did not transfer.
If your previous composition credits were completed more then 10 years ago, those credits can still be transferred in however, we will add another composition requirement, COM300 - Effective Communication: Research and Writing. COM300 will give you a refresher on composition.
Please see the Transfer Credit Policies listed in Academic Catalog for additional information. Be sure to reach out to your success counselor if you have any questions about your transfer credits.
